Scout – Mix, CRN 030786
Scout is that go-to dog, the dog you go to when your border collie starts to limp or your Jack Russell has a melt-down. A street urchin, the Sheltie mix that must have been found on a tennis court in Chicago, Scout’s big break came when Chris Tresch of Wisconsin Sheltie Rescue decided to keep him instead of putting him up for adoption. Scout represents what every rescue dog can be if given a chance. Scout is now eleven years old and starting to get a little gray and his sight is not what it use to be but he still wants to run every heat. He has earned 60,000 points in his lifetime, but he really doesn’t give a hoot about points, placements, wins, or titles. He just loves this game. When Scout is competing, you can see from his shining eyes and big Sheltie grin the pure enjoyment he gets from running. The BC Boomerangs feel honored to have such a wonderful, happy, and fun-loving teammate as Scout, and we would like to honor him and Chris with this award.
