Ginny – Golden Retriever, CRN 070685
When flyballers hear Dave Thomas yell “Go Ginny Go” you see heads turn to watch the wicked-fast Golden Retriever race up the lane. Her speed, grace, athleticism, and enthusiasm are a joy to watch. Top Brass Gingersnap (Ginny) has earned 57689 NAFA points in just 5 years of competition, is the #1 Golden Retriever in Region 9, and is listed #6 in NAFA points for her breed. Preparing Ginny for competition was no easy task, but when the light went on, it burned bright. Ginny was selected to the Dream Team at the 2008 Coconut Classic, and in 2012 Dave was named Dream Team captain. Consistent and indefatigable, Go Dog Go has come to rely on Ginny’s speed, skill, and drive. She was an essential dog in the club’s multibreed team that took the regional championship in 2009 and catapulted Go Dog Go! into a truly competitive force in Region 9 flyball. Ginny’s passion for flyball led handler Dave to invent a high-tech system that captures passes displayed on video screens in real time. This system is now used by many clubs to improve their passes. For these reasons, we feel Ginny is the perfect MVP for Region 9.
