Rugby, Region 18’s only Border Staffy, is a dog who knows what he wants. He is the total package of brawn, beauty, and brains. Rugby could have been in the movies, or perhaps worked for NASA, but instead he chose flyball. You won’t find a dog who works harder or puts more into the game. He is fast, focused, and tireless. When Rugby hit the lanes in 2013, he was the fastest dog to run in Alaska, setting the bar high and bringing ADGW to a new level of competition. His personal best is 3.675. Rugby ran on ADGW’s current record-holding teams for Regular, Multibreed, and Open, recently setting a new Regular record of 16.669. This year, he also earned the ONYX title. Whether running in starts or in the pack, Rugby is extremely consistent and reliable, making him a dream to pass. And did we mention his smile? He greets his friends with the most adorable toothy grin and full body wags. Rugby may have a buff physique and a winning personality, but it is his hard work, talent, and achievements that make him the perfect candidate for Region 18 MVP.
