Chip, 2015 Region 1 MVP

Chip – Jack/Parson Russell Terrier NND, CRN 050240

I am nominating Chip because I feel his career reflects all the qualities of an MVP. First, at the young age of 9 months old, he had surgery to repair a luxating patella. After the surgery, his Doctor said he would be able to do “normal activity” but, not Flyball. Chip, in typical JRT fashion, not only proved the Doctor completely wrong but, has been an outstanding height dog ever since. In his long career surpassing 12 years, he has accumulated 46,823 points and has run on 9 different NAFA Clubs. He has also played in 7 different States, and has had over 3 dozen different handlers, many running Chip as their first dog ever and teaching them to love the sport just as much as he does. He always plays with such gusto, this is the only way he plays and he gives 110% each and every time. Chip is the kind of dog that any club would be proud to have on their roster as a core height dog. In my opinion, he is the dog this award has been made to honor.
