Jackson – Gordon Setter, CRN 120968
Gordon Setter Blackburn Gordon Hill Carolina’s Swamp Fox; known to us as Jackson is nominated. Jackson competed for eight years and is the number 1 all-time achieving Gordon Setter in NAFA in multibreed obtaining MBM and FG40K in regular. He was a perfect gentleman and ambassador for Flyball. Jackson was well rounded with titles in agility, barn hunt, coursing, hunting, obedience, rally and was a Canine Good Citizen. Jackson excelled at Flyball and provided joy and comfort as a therapy dog. He ran any position in the line-up and was excellent at start with a 0.00. Champion lines produced a stunning specimen with a regal swagger and perfect temperament. When not running, he would patiently and obediently wait in the crating area unrestrained. Jackson competed until his sudden and untimely death in February 2020. He was known for his flying fringe coat, intense eye focus on the ball and wild pendant ears. He is the perfect example of Flyball’s mission and charter. Whether running open in region 9 or running on Pawmetto Pack, he was the solid team member who helped young dogs learn to compete and helped teams enjoy the weekend. Gone too soon but always Region 9 MVP.
