Kilo – Mix, CRN 170133
Kilo is a flyball dream dog! This Border Collie x Aussie/Heeler mix can run in any position and pass into or be passed by any dog, even while running for a guest handler. Whenever the need arises, Kilo can also run more than full-time, allowing more dogs to race. He has shown himself to be completely reliable even when coming “off the bench” to run with dogs he has never met before. During practices, Kilo’s resilience makes him a valuable asset with regard to training new dogs. Because Kilo is so speedy, he is perfect for proofing other dogs and boosting their drive in head-to-head runs. During the pandemic-shortened 2020 racing year, Kilo was instrumental in two momentous accomplishments in Region 18 history. He helped Alaska Dogs Gone Wild (1) win the CanAm Classic Regular 2 Championship and (2) become the first Alaska club to break into the 15s. It may have been a short racing year, but Kilo definitely left his mark!
