Luka – Golden Retriever, CRN 090586
I am honored to nominate Luka from Ruffin’ Tuff for the 2019 Region 7 MVP award. Luka is a well known golden retriever in Region 7, who debuted on October 25, 2009 and retired on May 5, 2019 after earning her FGdCh50k in March 2019. She was an integral part of the formation of the Ruffin’ Tuff flyball club in 2016, has helped train green dogs on multiple clubs, and has run Open and supported many other dogs in the region. She even helped earn the region’s newest HOBBES for Ezri – in fact, they earned their final titles on the same team at the same tournament together! Luka’s love for the game persists even as she is retired from active racing, as she proudly wears her “Flyball Consultant” bandanna to practices and tournaments and helps with training the green dogs. Luka’s personal best was 4.250, she earned her Iron Dog in October 2018, and she raced in 71 NAFA tournaments throughout her career. I can think of no better ambassador for flyball in Region 7 than Luka, and ask for your vote for her for the 2019 Region 7 MVP.
