Rythm – Whippet, CRN 051183
Barb Stopay’s, Whippet ‘Rythm’, has earned many milestones in his NAFA career and his driving starts have led our club from the 17’s through the 16’s and now into the 15’s. From his racing debut in July 2006, it was apparent that he was a competitor as 3.9’s quickly became 3.6’s in his first season. In 2008, Rythm was the first dog to reach into the elusive 3.4 second range clocking a 3.48. Two years later, he led the Some Ruff Competition CanAm Multibreed lineup to a new PB with a 15.778. In 2011, Rythm led us to a Regional Multibreed Championship, a National Multibreed Co-Championship, the Sabre award and many Division 1 wins. What we value as a club is the relationship that Rythm has with his family and the joy he displays whenever he is on the floor. In the fall of 2012, Rythm suffered a freak accident, unrelated to Flyball, requiring complex surgery and months of rehabilitation. In the summer of 2013, he was cleared to return to Flyball, and again, he led the way to another club PB.
