Blade – Border Collie, CRN 080846
Ruff Position would like to nominate Blade for Region 4 MVP. Blade was able to run in any position, with any dogs, and on any team. He loved coming back for a toy from Gloria’s Toy ‘Chest’. Blade started his NAFA career in July 2008, and was NAFA’s top point earning dog for fiscal year 2010 with 27,513 points. He has also achieved the highest NAFA award, the Hobbes on 09/07/2014. Blade was Gloria’s baby boy and loyal companion, as he was the one to let her know that she had a heart condition well before Gloria knew it herself. He was her Guardian Angel as he would wake her up in the middle of the night by howling because of her health issue at the time. Blade has left us far too soon, but we know he continues to watch over Gloria from the Rainbow Bridge. For this, he will always be our team’s Guardian Angel and MVP.
