Ginny, 2011 Region 18 MVP

Ginny, mix, CRN 090623

Ginny “the Freight Train” is a standout in every way. She is big, black, fast, and loud. One of the more unusual flyball dogs out there, she is a lean 68-lb Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever mix. Ginny has a box turn to die for, with a blistering fastest time of 4.19 seconds. When it comes to flyball, Ginny has demonstrated that size does not matter unless you are her handler (there are only a few brave souls who have handled this powerful gladiator!). Ginny can run in any position, but excels in starts where she thrives on racing the other dog. She is consistent, reliable, and game enough to run additional heats when needed as a backup dog. She is also a favorite at demos, wowing spectators and bringing in beginners. Since mastering the flyball course in 2009, Ginny has raced in every Region 18 tournament, as well as at CanAm 2010 where she led Alaska Dogs Gone Wild to Reserve Champion in Division VI. Ginny has exceeded all of our expectations and set the bar high for any flyball dog. She has also proven that even the big dogs can take the flyball world by storm.
