Ranger – Jack/Parson Russell Terrier NND, CRN 000415
We nominate Farrier’s Point Ranger, born in February, 1998, as Region 11 MVP. Ranger ran in his first tournament on July 1, 2000. During his career, Ranger has run on 224 teams across 13 states; earned numerous titles, including Iron Dog; accumulated nearly 79,000 points; and run on three 16 second teams. Since coming to Florida to live with Mike Pape and race with the KETCH flyball team, Ranger has become an invaluable teammate. He’s been the height dog on three Region 11 multibreed division championship teams, and helps KETCH remain one of the top clubs in the Region. Ranger has helped a lot of dogs begin racing and helped them earn a lot of points. Ranger, currently the #10 active JRT and the #13 JRT of all time, is well known in Region 11 and across the country. When Ranger is in the lanes, a hurricane could take down the walls of the building, but he would remain focused on racing. Despite his age, Ranger has the heart of a champion and loves to compete. We do not believe there is any dog more deserving than Ranger to be this year’s Region 11 MVP.
