Rhys – Welsh Corgi (Pembroke), CRN 110207
Rhys, or more formally, Victoria’s Canterbury Tail-less, is a little Pembroke corgi dynamo, and a freak of nature. Legs that short can’t possibly move that quickly. Teams in regions 9 and 15 know the ways of racing Blue Ridge Blast when “the lead killer corgi” is in the line-up. You run your first 3 dogs and you might have what seems like a comfortable lead, your release your own anchor dog when suddenly this tiny, crazy-fast corgi thunders (can a corgi thunder?) down the lane and back, completely eliminating your lead and winning the heat for BRB. He sets the jumps at a mere 7″ and is the fiercest anchor dog competitor in our region. A rock solid height dog who always brings home the win, how could he be more valuable? Fur Fun nominates Rhys as the 2013 Region 9 MVP and asks that we give him the recognition he deserves.
