Tandie, Miniature Long Hair Dachshund, CRN 030456
I would like to nominate “Tandie”
Tandie is a very special little height dog in our Region who has been playing flyball for over 7yrs. He is the highest pointed dachshund in North America and the only miniature long-hair dachshund racing in Canada.
What makes him so special is his determination and desire for the game of flyball. Being long in the body and low to the ground has never stopped him from being an exceptional athlete in flyball as well as agility, where he has placed first in his division several times at Ontario Regionals. I have had the pleasure of running him just once and I couldn’t believe his enthusiasm. He runs his little heart out each and every heat of a race and has made very few mistakes in his career. As an almost 9 year old dachshund, he is still consistently running times within 1 second of his younger days. He has always been a valued member of any team he has been on.
