Zoom, 2013 Region 18 MVP

Zoom – Siberian Husky, CRN 051308

Zoom is a 9-year-old Siberian Husky rescued off the streets of Anchorage, Alaska. As a founding member of Alaska Dogs Gone Wild, Zoom began his flyball career in 2004, and he is the only husky racing flyball in Alaska. He also has the distinction of being the only dog to have run in every Region 18 tournament ever held. Currently the #3 ranked Siberian Husky in NAFA, Zoom is poised to become #1 during the 2014 racing year. In January 2013, Zoom became only the second Alaska-trained dog to earn the ONYX title. He is an outstanding representative of Alaska and will be attending his third CanAm event this year. Zoom is an all-around dependable flyball dog who is consistent in the pack or as a start dog. In the runback, you can’t miss his rumbling “AR-AR-AR” as he revs up to run, or his fierce complaints when he is moved back out of the lane if the first dog false starts. It’s easy to tell when Zoom has been in the ring by the fluffy white “tumble weeds” he leaves behind. Zoom is truly a one-of-a-kind dog in a one-of-a-kind region.
