Bungee – Jack/Parson Russell Terrier NND, CRN 011571
Bungee, Region 16’s JRT known as “Jack in the Box” because she runs into a crate, is 15 y/o! Although she has served as height dog for numerous teams, she usually double runs on SoCal Frequent Flyers’ multi and regular teams. The last three years she’s placed 25th, 3rd and currently 1st in the Top 250 Dogs. She runs in any position but is frequently found behind an Aussie since she can’t be intimidated. Bungee’s favorite position is start. Her consistent speed makes dialing in .000 starts possible. Bungee, originally rescued from a kill shelter in Colorado, began her training with Stampede under the name of “Kadja”, competing in her first tournament in October 2001. She was wild and crazy. In 2003, Bungee’s owner quit flyball, dumping her into a Utah kill shelter. Miraculously, Marge Henderson (Flying Colors and Run Amuck)sprung her. Margaret Lyons (Bark-in-the-Park) gave her a flyball home. Margaret renamed and trained her to run into a crate instead of charging around in all directions. When Elaine Alston’s JRT died, Margaret graciously “lent” Bungee to her saying, “You can’t run without a flyball dog.” Bungee moved into the Cohen home becoming Sue Cohen’s Mother’s best friend.
Nominated by SoCal Frequent Flyers
