Mia – Australian Shepherd, CRN 071179
Mia, everyone’s favorite start dog, was handled by more than 25 helpful volunteers (Thanks to all of you!). Regularly placing in the top 10 dogs for points year after year, she was consistent, predictable and always ready to run. She received all but one of the titles that NAFA offers, missing the last one by a mere 29 points. Her beautiful red Aussie fur was stunning and made her appear to have always just come from the groomers. Her owners were unable to frequently accompany Mia to tournaments but graciously allowed her to travel with the team. She would set up on the living room couch on Thursday evening and wait until we arrived the following morning. She would watch intently as all the other teams competed while many other napped until their turn. After running her last race in February, she died from cancer in the spring. The smiling faced girl is missed by many.
