Riley – Rat Terrier, CRN 030283
I would like to nominate Bob Atol’s Rat Terrier, Riley, for Region 3 MVP. Riley is a height dog, running over 8″ jumps with an average time of 5.4 to 5.6 in his prime. Bob and Riley have been a team since 2003. They have traveled together extensively since that time, which has resulted in Riley earning not only his Hobbes this year, but also the distinction of being Top Point Dog in the Region. Riley has also been running long enough to have earned his Iron Dog Award. Because Bob and Riley have worked so hard, they have helped many other dogs to earn points and titles. Whether Bob and Riley are running with their team or running on an open team to help other people, they always do their very best. I think Riley deserves to be Region 3 MVP. His consistency at being able to race all weekend at 11 years of age is a testament to how much Riley and Bob both enjoy the sport of flyball. And the fact that Riley has earned his Hobbes, Iron Dog Award and Top Point Dog speaks for itself.
